If the crowd response at the world premiere of The Incredible Burt Wonderstone is any indication, the film starring Steve Carell and Jim Carrey could conjure up a magical following when it opens in theaters next weekend. As Wonderstone, Carell plays a successful Las Vegas magician who, with his partner Anton Marvelton (Steve Buscemi), has ruled the strip for a decade before shock conjurer Steve Gray (Carrey) arrives on the scene.
Wonderstone and Marvelton haven't pulled enough new tricks lately and the less-than-cryptically named casino boss Doug Munny (James Gandolfini) fires them. They wind up competing with Gray for the high-paying gig at Munny's new hotel.

Jennifer Lawrence was such the high roller at last night's Academy Awards, she could get away with anything. Yes, even flipping the almighty bird at the press room.
After her epic fall on the stairs and her out-of-breath acceptance speech, the Best Actress winner went backstage to pose for photos and answer some burning questions. Right before she posed with last year's Best Actor winner Jean Dujardin, who handed her the Oscar, Jen was caught on camera making a sour face and giving someone the middle finger.
It is yet unclear who Lawrence was flipping off (though Digital Spy seems to think it was a photographer), but given that a moment later she was all smiles and camera ready, everyone's taken it to be a joke. The good spirited gal also announced that she took a shot before going into the press room and we all know how saucy she gets a few drops in.

This year's Oscars was marked by stunning actresses who sparkled in sequins. Nicole Kidman, Naomi Watts, Catherine Zeta Jones and more wowed in metallic shades. The reigning color palette at the 2013 Oscars was pale nude or white, or stark black. There were a few standouts who risked wearing bold color, and succeeded: Kerry Washington and Jennifer Aniston spring to mind. "Beasts Of The Southern Wild" star Quvenzhané Wallis summed up the best-dressed ladies at the 2013 Oscars perfectly when she described her dress as: "sparkly and fluffy."
Other trends on our best-dressed list from the night included strapless gowns (Jennifer Lawrence and Charlize Theron had us in tears with their stunning Dior Couture gowns) and lots of diamonds ... just not in necklaces. We saw bracelets and earrings, but necks were conspiculously bare.

Carly most recently co-starred opposite Owen Wilson and Jason Sudeikis in the Farrelly Brother's film, "Hall Pass". Her comedic talents are highlighted in this role in a film-stealing moment in the bathroom with Jason that exemplifies the Farrelly's slapstick humor. The standout role sealed her a place as a "Vanities Girl" for the April 2011 edition of "Vanity Fair" where she follows many young ingenues like Kristen Bell, Lesly Mann and Mila Kunis. She will next be seen in the Farrelly's next feature, "Three Stooges", playing Mrs. Harter, the wife of Stephen Collins' character. Together the couple sets out to adopt the Stooges. The film began shooting in May 2011.

The 26-year-old showed off her slender figure in a vintage-inspired body-hugging black and white gown that trailed along the southern-themed red carpet.The Slow Me Down singer beckoned an air of old Hollywood as she completed her outfit with her sleek brown hair wrapped in a tight and wavy side-do and minimal jewellery.
Emmy plays the ultra-glam Ridley in the film, based on the acclaimed book by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl.

Jimmy Kimmel received the 2,489th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame today, one day before the 10th anniversary of the premiere of his ABC late-night talk show, "Jimmy Kimmel Live."
"My parents brought me here to Hollywood to visit the Walk of Fame when I was 10 years old, and I never imagined that they would leave me here to fend for myself," he joked.
NBC late-night talk show host Carson Daly, who interned for Kimmel at a Palm Springs radio station, and City Councilman Eric Garcetti, joined Kimmel at the ceremony in front of the El Capitan Theater on Hollywood Boulevard, where his show is taped.
"This is a guy who has come out quietly to testify on behalf of good projects to revitalize Hollywood, who has fought for things like helping Hollywood High School get an arts program back, who has in quiet and powerful ways been a great Angeleno when all of the cameras are off and nobody is watching," Garcetti said.
Daly joked with the crowd that while it appeared there was large turnout for the ceremony, "it's really just the family members that work for him taking a smoke break."
Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., on Nov. 13, 1967, and raised in Las Vegas, Kimmel began working in radio in 1984 when he was still in high school, hosting a Sunday night interview show on the University of Nevada Las Vegas' station, KUNV-FM.
Kimmel attended UNLV for one year and Arizona State for two years, before dropping out to become a co-host of a morning radio show on KZOK-FM in Seattle. He later worked at stations in Tampa, Fla. and Palm Springs, before becoming the sportscaster on the "Kevin and Bean" show on KROQ-FM (106.7).
Kimmel began his television career in 1997 as co-host of the Comedy Central game show "Win Ben Stein's Money," sharing the Daytime Emmy Award for outstanding game show host with Stein in 1999.
Kimmel also co-hosted Comedy Central's "The Man Show," spent four years as a prognosticator on "Fox NFL Sunday," and co-created Comedy Central's "Crank Yankers" and MTV2's "The Andy Milonakis Show."
The ceremony came 17 days after "Jimmy Kimmel Live" was shifted to 11:35 p.m., after airing at midnight since its debut. It now starts at the same time as NBC's "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" and CBS' "Late Show with David Letterman."

Ellen Hollman is the latest addition to the cast of "Spartacus: Vengeance," which has it's season premiere on Friday, January 27th. She'll appear a few episodes in as Saxa, a pretty touch chick. We were lucky enough to get a preview of her character, her feelings on nudity and who Saxa is going to hook up with. Also, she is hysterical!

"Saxa is the first female German warrior to join the ranks of Spartacus. She's fierce, fun, intelligent and a force to be reckoned with on the battlefield. In other words, she will kick your *ss and have a laugh about it later." She has her eye one one of the hot guys in the show ... at least Saxa does. "She has a keen eye for Gannicus (Dustin Clare)," she says "And not one to take 'no' lightly." Well, where there is love or lust, there is certainly sex, especially on this show. We asked her if the nudity made her hesitate at all. She replies, "Nudity? There's nudity on this show? I'd better start doing some sit-ups." Okay, we love this girl already!

Hollman said she loves working with the cast. "They are, and continue to be like family. I'm beyond fortunate to have such genuine, dedicated and supportive friends by my side on screen. It is extremely helpful when you're thousands of miles from home." When asked if she'd been a fan of the show, she answered, "Yes! Hell, yes!" We asked her how intense this season will be for her. "Your jaw will be on the floor," she says. About the show's popularity, Hollman explains, "It crosses every line normally saved for film. It sets new boundaries for television as we know it from performance, to fight, to choreography and aesthetics with beyond shocking story lines."

But I sure plan to based on Dan's hunkiness alone along with the fact that his character, Agron, is gay and involved in a relationship with fellow rebel warrior Nasir (Pana Hema Taylor).
Dan is a 31-year-old actor from Australia who has also been a part of the Spartacus: Blood and Sand and Spartacus: Vengeance. Prior to Spartacus, he was a regular on the Aussie hit series Home and Away and also played the role of Brendan in the series All Saints.

Australian actor Liam McIntyre had appeared in the HBO World War II mini-series, The Pacific, but until then, American audiences didn't know his face. After tragedy struck the production of Starz' hit TV series, Spartacus, with star Andy Whitfield losing his battle with cancer; a global search ensued to replace the titular role in the bloody and violent gladiator show. McIntyre impressed show creator Steven DeKnight and stepped into the sandals as Spartacus last season. With the final season of the series, Spartacus: War of the Damned, set to debut January 25, McIntyre is going virtual in a new free-to-play downloadable console game from Ubisoft. The actor worked closely with developer Kung Fu Factory to create Spartacus Legends, which features his voice, likeness and actual moves.

Ashley Rickards from "Awkward" shocked us at the MTV Video Music Awards with a platinum blonde hairdo -- but her golden locks didn't last. The actress, who plays an uncomfortable, sarcastic teenager on MTV's surprise hit, has gone back to her usual dark hair color. She debuted the look at the People's Choice Awards on Wednesday, where "Awkward" was nominated for Favorite TV Cable Comedy.
The show, which is up against "Psych," "Melissa and Joey," "Hot in Cleveland," and "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia," is gearing up for its third season. We'll see yet another love interest introduced for Jenna this year -- his name is Collin, and he's super cool, but totally taken.

In a striking scarlet gown, the ever-elegant Dame Helen Mirren makes yet another appearance on the red carpet.
The seemingly ageless actress showed off her smooth complexion and graceful figure as she posed for the cameras.
But as every woman knows, there are some things that will always betray a lady's age.
And in the case of the 67-year-old Oscar-winner, it was her hands.
Bearing the inevitable wrinkles and brown spots of age, they provided a startling contrast to her otherwise polished appearance.
She was photographed as she arrived at the Palm Springs Film Festival in California wearing a crimson Escada gown and posing alongside her husband, American film director Taylor Hackford.
Two days after she received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Dame Helen collected another accolade, this time the International Star Award.
